2024 Life Time UNBOUND Gravel: A Grueling Challenge Awaits
The excitement is palpable as the stage is set for the 2024 Life Time UNBOUND Gravel 200, promising a thrilling race experience for cyclists and spectators alike. With a newly unveiled route and a host of enhancements, this year’s event is gearing up to be the toughest yet.
The grueling course, spanning 202.9 miles of harsh gravel roads and featuring a staggering 11,000 feet of climbing, will test the endurance and resilience of world-class riders. From the undulating prairies to the awe-inspiring Flint Hills, participants will navigate challenging terrain as they make their way through the heart of Kansas.
Key sections of the route, including Divide Road and the steep ascent of Little Egypt, promise to push riders to their limits. The addition of new roads and climbs, such as the Volland Road climb and Kahola Hill, further adds to the challenge, ensuring an unforgettable race experience.
In addition to the main event, the Life Time UNBOUND Gravel 200, cyclists will have the opportunity to participate in other races, including the 25, 50, 100 Mile, and XL (350-mile) contests. With revised routes and a focus on safety, these races promise excitement and adventure for cyclists of all skill levels.
This year’s event also brings several enhancements, including full street closures for the final 1.5 miles of the route, two separate finish chutes along Commercial Street, and extended race highlights for spectators to enjoy.
