Marianne Vos Departs Liv’s WorldTour Team in 2021

After leading CCC-Liv to numerous wins and podium finishes over the past two years, with the conclusion of her contract in December, Marianne Vos will move on to a new team in 2021.

The 2020 season marked Marianne Vos’ 14th as a professional cyclist. Vos began her relationship with Liv Cycling in 2012 as a part of the Rabobank Women Team (which later became known as Rabo-Liv); that same year, she won an Olympic gold medal in London, World Championship titles on the road and cyclocross, and won five stages of the Giro Rosa and the overall. After two years apart during the 2017-2018 seasons, Vos’ return to Liv in 2019 with the CCC-Liv Team marked one of her most successful years after returning from injury in 2015, achieving 19 race wins and the UCI Women’s WorldTour overall title.

Referred to as the greatest cyclist of all time, Vos’ contribution to the sport goes beyond her hundreds of race wins and 12 World Championship titles across cycling disciplines. Throughout her career, Vos has been a driving force for greater opportunities, coverage, and compensation for female cyclists. Liv and Marianne Vos will always share the same goal: to get more women on bikes. So, no matter what jersey she is wearing or what bike she is riding, Liv Cycling will continue to be a fan of Marianne Vos.

“Dank je, Marianne, en veel geluk!”
