Friday, 20th December 2019 – From 10th to 20th of December Team Bahrain Merida riders and staff were hosted on the scenic Mediterranean island of Hvar in Croatia, where they planned the last strategic details and training for the upcoming season. During the team presentation of Team Jumbo-Visma at HEMA in Amsterdam, the team of CEO Richard Plugge announced to go to the Tour de France with the three leaders Steven Kruijswijk, Primoz Roglic and new addition Tom Dumoulin.
