The boutique tour is back for its fourth edition, and the new route through Crested Butte and the Black Canyon looks equal parts stunning and suffocating. There are bike tours where you sip espresso and soft-pedal through vineyards, and then there are bike tours where your lungs scream for mercy at 9,000 feet. Colorado’s Ride falls firmly into the second category, and for 2026, they are leaning into the ascents. The organizers of the five-day road tour announced today that this year’s edition, running August 10–14, will feature a brand-new route that showcases some of the most dramatic terrain the…

Frostbike is Quality Bicycle Products’ annual winter dealer expo in Minneapolis. Or annual, minus this year. QBP has pulled the plug due to ICE activity. Frostbike canceled due to ice is a bit on the nose, honestly, and it’s too conventional a joke for us to churn out into the universe. It obviously has nothing to do with the temperature: the distributor announced that the event is canceled due to “current law enforcement activities” in the Twin Cities. The cancellation comes in the wake of the fatal shooting of Alex Pretti, a local nurse and cyclist, by DHS agents on…

The Tour de France organizers dropped the official team list for the 2026 edition this morning, and if you hate fighting for position in the neutral zone, look away now. A total of 23 teams will line up in Barcelona on July 4th. The ASO confirmed that all 18 UCI WorldTeams will be present (obviously), but the real spice comes from the five UCI ProTeams who made the cut. The “ProTeam” intrigue Cofidis, Tudor Pro Cycling and Q36.5 Pro Cycling were directly qualified thanks to their UCI points ranking. This means Fabian Cancellara’s Tudor squad and the “we are definitely…

In the men’s race, Lasse Nygaard-Priester (GER) took the win in 3:37:43 while in the women’s race, Sara Sandrini (ITA) took her first professional win in 4:16:47.”It’s an amazing venue, the swim was so beautiful conditions and lots of fun,” said Priester at the finish line. “I managed to keep in control and exit with the front group and jumped on the bike in second. After the mountain, I realized it was just me and Lasse – he led for the first 60km and then I did some work in the last 30km but it was good to have a gap to the others. The run was hot, but I tried to…

Netflix’s Tour de France: Unchained, the series that brought us behind-the-scenes drama, questionable team tactics, and enough lycra to outfit a small nation, is reportedly coming to an end. After three seasons of showcasing the highs, lows, and questionable mid-race snack choices of the men’s Tour de France, the streaming giant has decided to pull the plug. The third season, set to air in June 2025, will cover the 2024 Tour de France, where Tadej Pogačar reclaimed his crown in a battle that had us all on the edge of our sofas. But after that, it’s curtains for the series. Netflix…

Tadej Pogačar, the man who makes winning Grand Tours look like a leisurely Sunday ride, is once again flirting with the cobbled Classics. After skipping the Flemish festivities last year to focus on his Tour de France ambitions and World Championship glory, the Slovenian sensation is not only returning to the cobbles in 2025 but might also be dipping his toes into the most brutal of them all: Paris-Roubaix. Yes, you read that right. The Hell of the North, the Queen of the Classics, the race that turns bikes into abstract art and riders into mud-caked warriors, could soon feature…

The Volta Valenciana wrapped up its 76th edition with a finale that was less about drama and more about Bahrain Victorious reminding everyone else who’s boss. Santiago Buitrago, the Colombian climbing sensation, sealed the deal on the final stage, cruising into Valencia with the leader’s jersey firmly on his back and a grin that could power a small village. Joao Almeida (UAE Team Emirates) tried his best to make things interesting, but let’s be honest, 18 seconds might as well be 18 light-years when Buitrago’s in this kind of form. And let’s not forget Pello Bilbao, the ever-dependable Basque, who…
