Mario Cipollini Handed Three Year Prison Sentence

Mario Cipollini has been sentenced to three years in prison following a long-running domestic abuse case. Cipollini was found guilty of abusing his ex-wife and her new partner on Monday. The former World Champion will also pay out €85,000 in damages and compensation.

As well as serving time in prison, Cipollini was ordered to pay €80,000 in damages to Landucci and a further €5,000 in compensation to Giusti.

Cipollini was accused of threatening his ex-wife with a gun for wearing a short skirt, inflicting injuries with “punches, slaps, and kicks,” and making death threats.

So, not a nice guy. We liked his wacky skinsuits though.
