Tom Dumoulin Announces Retirement

Tom Dumoulin’s on-again-off-again relationship with the sport looks to be set to ‘off’ for good. The Dutch rider has announced his intent to retire at the end of the 2022 season, with a statement on his Instagram page.

Dumoulin boasts a palmares that includes nine grand tour stage wins, a Giro d’Italia overall victory, and a World Time Trial Championship. He may yet add to it before he retires, with the Worlds in Australia being his final target for the season.
