Bivo Launches New 21 oz. Insulated Sports Bottle

What’s the biggest news in cycling right now? You got it, the launch of a new bidon.

We had never heard of Bivo and we’re guessing you haven’t either, so here’s what we learned from our research reading through the email they sent: Bivo launched their signature product, the Bivo One in late 2020, followed by the Duo in 2021. All of Bivo’s products are certified carbon neutral, and 1% of each sale is allocated to the Bivo Fund, where the money is dispersed yearly to non-profit organizations working on cycling, water, and climate change issues.

Now, following the success of the original Bivo One, and more recently the Bivo Duo, the stainless steel cycling bottle manufacturer is debuting its third, and first insulated, product. You might be able to guess its name if you paid attention to the brand’s naming conventions so far. No? Oh, ok, it’s the Bivo Trio. The 21oz vacuum insulated bottle does everything the earlier Bivo products did, plus it will keep beverages cold for up to 12 hours.

It’s available in black, blue, and stainless steel, and currently up for pre-order with shipments beginning in early August. Are you going to pre-order a water bottle? Are you?

Here’s some product management speak: “When polled about what they’d like in a future product, our customers consistently asked for an insulated bottle,” says Co-founder Robby Ringer. “It was always in our plan to make one, and we’re thrilled to now be able to offer it to them.”

And here’s a final blurb. Technically, mashing the maximum number of features into the statement is also product management speak. “The Trio uses the same unique flow system that allows users to empty the contents faster than a traditional plastic water bottle can be squeezed to empty. Since the vessel is made from stainless steel it is mold resistant, offers a cleaner taste and is free from any of the chemicals found in plastic bottles.”

So there. We covered a water bottle pre-launch. And, weirdly, not for the first time.
