Report Dedication, values and effort have been rewarded on Saturday on stage seven of the 2022 Critérium du Dauphiné, as a top sportsperson and human being, Carlos Verona (Movistar Team), crowned a twelve-year pro career with a well-deserved maiden victory atop the ski resort of Vaujany. Report Wout van Aert has won for the second time in Critérium du Dauphiné. The classification leader beat his compatriot Jordi Meeus in the sprint of a depleted peloton on the finish line. It was Van Aert’s fifth win this season. For a long time, it was questionable whether it would come to a sprint at all. Report Filippo Ganna edged Wout van Aert in a tight time trial to win stage four of the Critérium du Dauphiné. Ganna beat the Jumbo Visma rider by just two seconds in a thrilling conclusion to the 31.9km test, with teammate Ethan Hayter finishing third on the stage to move into the top five overall. After dominating the opening two days, Team DSM and Lorena Wiebes tackled the streets of London on Sunday evening with the aim of making it three wins from three.
