RCS Sport has agreed with the appropriate authorities, after the meeting at the Prefecture of Siena, to cancel Strade Bianche and Strade Bianche Women Elite (7 March). RCS Sport will request the UCI, via the Italian Cycling Federation, to allocate a new date for the two races.

The Union Cycliste Internationale (UCI) confirms that it has been informed that, as announced by the United Arab Emirates Ministry of Health and Prevention, six people still confined to the 4th floor of their hotel in Abu Dhabi after the discovery amongst them of cases requiring medical monitoring, yesterday tested positive for the coronavirus (SARS-CoV-2). Team Jumbo-Visma will not participate in Strade Bianche and GP Industria, this weekend. The decision has been taken on medical advice, the recommendation of the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs, as well as on sportive and practical grounds.
