We were sad to learn of the death of Tony Bell earlier this week. We’ll spare the eulogy, other than to state that Tony’s humor in the back pages of the comic was a huge influence on us, and a big part of this site and its predecessors ever existing. We even nicked a few of his jokes when we started writing for TV. If there’s somewhere else after all of this, it’s now a better place for having him in it. Thanks for everything, Tony.

Hello friends. We know we haven’t been updating much lately, but we’re not dead or giving up on cycling. We have some really good excuses, including: Admittedly, some of these excuses are better than others. But we’re going to have to start paying people if we want to reject their excuses for not writing jokes about cycling, so it’s all fine. Apologies if we haven’t gotten to your press release.
