Ever wanted to dodge cars on city streets, but don’t want to pay big money for a smart trainer? Wait, how are those two things linked again?
Oh right, Hustle City. It’s a game you play on your trainer, like Zwift, pretending to be a bike messenger with places to be. It’s kind of like being a Door Dash rider, but it doesn’t pay you any money. So, it’s exactly like being a Door Dash rider.
Until now, you needed a smart trainer to play. A new update, the first since launch, introduces support for Wahoo and Garmin BLE speed sensors, allowing you to use any trainer.
Sounds good? Well, we prefer games with blue skies and even bluer hedgehogs. Still, if Zwift just isn’t gritty enough for you, there’s now even more opportunity to dip into the mean streets of Hustle City and get on with your virtual grind.
There’s a launch video of sorts. The publishers told us: “To celebrate this historic moment in Hustle City history we met up with our friend Juan, a LA native and veteran bike messenger. He took us on a tour of his most common routes and lesser known spots in DownTown LA. We tried to keep up and brought a camera along with us. Then we convinced him to come inside and give Hustle City with a dumb trainer and Garmin speed sensor a rip. We documented the whole thing for your viewing pleasure, check it out above!”
We put it below, rather than above, just to disrupt their statement. Anyway, the video is two minutes long. That’s our review of it, since we haven’t watched.
Hustle City – now on dumb trainers.
