Bradley Wiggins to host new comedy TV show

Bradley Wiggins will host a new game show called Gods of the Game tonight on Comedy Central UK. Don’t know what time. Maybe it’s on right now.

The show isn’t a panel show, but instead a challenge-based contest in which members of the public compete against professional athletes. Sounds terrible, but we do love Brad so we’ll try to be nice about it.

The image has Tom Rosenthal in it. He doesn’t normally have blue hair. He was alright in Friday Night Dinner. Maybe he’s really the host? There’s also Chris Hoy, and then some BBC-type sports celebrities that you’d expect to see on A Question of Sport or They Think It’s All Over. Not sure if it’s a set pool of celebrity athletes or if they have guests appear for each challenge. Sorry, we know less about this than you, probably.

Comedy Central’s blub says: “Three ordinary Joes and Josephine’s [sic] take on each other in a series of incredible sporting challenges. But to win these games they don’t need to defeat each other… they have to defeat one of our Gods of the Game.”

They’ve probably got a press release about it, but we’re not on that list. Ah well.

Edit: we found a trailer. Looks like a big pile of bollocks.
