Demin Jorts Are Coming to the Pro Peloton
Italian clothing brand Rosti has demoed something not one single person on Earth asked for: denim bib shorts for cycling. The “Bib Jeans,” are 48% cotton, 22% recycled polyester, 15% polyester and 15% elastane. That’s real denim, not printed lycra.
The Bib Jeans have been long in development, even tested by the AG2R Citroën team. Much work was put into summer testing, with the testing team putting thousands of miles into them to prove that they perform as well as regular shorts. That means no chafing and no moisture retention.
They’ll launch in February. Pre-orders will begin in December. Do not pre-order cycling jorts.
Rosti provides the kit for the AG2R Citroën team, meaning we could be seeing jorts in the pro peloton. We’ll be sad to see the back of the infamous brown shorts if that happens though.
