Garmin Edge 540, Edge 840, Edge 540 Solar, and Edge 840 Solar are About to Launch – Here are all the Details

March 25, 2023

It’s the news we’ve been waiting for. The latest models in Garmin’s Edge 8xx and 5xx product lines are about to launch, following last year’s Edge 1040 release.

The Edge 530 and 830 are still the best bike computers money can buy, more or less, coming at a more affordable price and more attractive form factor than the premium Edge 1040. Both bike computers launched way back in 2019 though — an entire epoch ago, back in the before times. Now they’re finally, finally getting the upgrade we’ve been anticipating since 2021. The Edge 540 and Edge 840 are about to launch, and they come with Solar editions too.

We’ve got all the details. Release date and prices are at the very end, sorry.
