Stage 7 of Paris Nice 2020 was the queen stage of this year’s race with a summit finish up the infamous Valdeblore la Colmiane – a beast of a mountain that climbs for 16.3km at an average gradient of 6.3%. This mountain also featured in the 2018 edition of Paris-Nice where it saw a rain-soaked Simon Yates take a commanding stage win. With a hard parcours straight from the start, and the Col de Vence early in the stage it was always going to be a tough race.
