Wattbike Launches Hub+, a Premium Version of its Indoor Training App with Mobile Workout Builder
We’ve learned of a new arrival today that will shake up your training plans. Wattbike Hub+, a premium subscription version of Wattbike’s indoor training app, is now available and delivering workout customisation, deep integration with third-party apps, and exclusive training content.
If you’re worried that this is the company suddenly charging for its free Wattbike Hub app, you can rest. The original Hub app remains free, and Hub+ expands its scope with significant features for a $7.99/£7.99 monthly price. Wattbike users will be able to access Hub+ free for 30 days to trial the features and to find out how they can improve their performance.
Those new features include “the industry’s only mobile-friendly workout builder,” as well as custom workouts that can be created, shared, and exported to Zwift and other third-party training apps. Exclusive training content will also be available for Hub+ subscribers.
What Features are in Wattbike Hub+?
Workout Builder
Wattbike tells is this new tool has been designed with ease of use in mind. It uses simple drag-and-drop segment blocks that can be configured in-app. Individual targets can be fine-tuned to different training variables such as %FTP, %THR, cadence and HR.
Workout Sharing
Feeling social? You can share custom workouts with other Hub+ users, using whatever method you usually communicate with your friends (shouting out of the window excluded). If the workout is edited after it’s been shared, it’ll automatically update for everybody.
Workout Export
Workout Export gives users the flexibility to complete their custom workouts on Zwift and other third-party apps. It also exports to bike computers.
Exclusive Training Content
In addition to existing free workouts, Hub+ provides extra training content including training plans, workouts and challenges. Wattbike tells us that they work with leading athletes and sports scientists to ensure the most up-to-date and innovative research is shared with premium users.
